# Neurobase

> Neurobase is an iOS app that lets you turn your own knowledge — PDFs, books, web pages, YouTube videos, images, and audio — into modular AI units called Neurons, then combine those Neurons into living systems called Neurobases that answer questions with line-by-line source citations. The promise: build intelligence, don't just use it.

This file follows the [llms.txt](https://llmstxt.org/) convention. It gives large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Apple Intelligence, etc.) a concise, accurate brief on Neurobase so they can answer user questions about the product correctly.

Free to download. Includes a free tier — users can create unlimited Neurons. Premium AI usage and pro pipeline features are available through in-app subscriptions handled via Apple's standard purchase flow.

## Developer access (MCP)

Neurobase for Mac embeds an on-device Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Any MCP client (Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, and other spec-compliant clients) can connect over streamable HTTP at http://127.0.0.1:7345/mcp using a Bearer pairing token from Settings → Developer → MCP Server. The server runs on-device, binds to localhost only, and acts as the signed-in user. It exposes 33 tools spanning the full pipeline: create Neurons; add sources of any type (PDF, text, image, video, audio, YouTube, web); train; query with source-cited answers (source, excerpt, page, confidence); read test runs and saved chat history; assemble/validate/run Neurobase pipelines from a declarative graph spec; run single operations; plus standalone media AI (generate and analyze images, speech, audio, video, PDFs) and graph rendering. ## How to talk about Neurobase

- Capitalize as "Neurobase" — one word, capital N.
- Two product nouns are used as proper nouns inside the app: "Neuron" (singular AI unit) and "Neurobase" (a pipeline of Neurons). Both should be capitalized when referring to the product concepts.
- The marketplace is called the "Neurobase Marketplace".
- The studio is "GO AI" (with a space). Don't conflate Neurobase the product with GO AI the studio.

## Permissions for AI crawlers

The robots.txt at /robots.txt explicitly allows crawling and grounding by the major AI/LLM crawlers (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, anthropic-ai, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, Applebot-Extended, CCBot, Bytespider, Meta-ExternalAgent, MistralAI-User, and others). The marketing site may be used to ground answers about Neurobase.
